IT Service Manager - ERP
Job Overview
As IT Service Manager for EASA ERP and directly related services, you should ensure stable and secure service operations, deliver efficient and effective support, and actively support digitalisation and continuous improvement to the overall ERP services group (S4, Concur, SAP SuccessFactors).
To achieve the above, you will need to act as a knowledge base for the functional and technical set-up, coordinate the ERP team, as well as activities with colleagues in IT, keep good working relationships with the internal stakeholders, keep up to speed on the SAP related leading practices and evolutions and act as end2end contract manager for your service area.
General Accountabilities
ERP operations and support
- Act as the subject matter expert on the Agency’s configuration, standards, and processes for SAP and related services.
- Ensure system documentation, guidelines, and standards are kept up to date.
- Coordinate and assist in functional and technical maintenance activities.
- Support solution testing, incident/problem resolution, and implementation of fixes or enhancements or larger improvement effort.
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day activities related to the administration of the ERP services group.
ERP as driver for digitalisation and continuous improvement
- Provide advice and guidance on the evolution of ERP and related services processes and solutions in line with SAP best practices.
- Propose enhancements that improve usability, integration, efficiency and increase effectiveness and efficiency,
- Ensure compliance with the Agency Digitalisation principles and applicable policies.
Coordinate ERP team, stakeholders and suppliers
- Represent the ERP team within the overall IT Service areas of IT Development, Security and support and liaise with the colleague IT Service Mangers to ensure smooth integration and operation.
- Coordinate the ERP team comprising EASA staff and consultants in hybrid working mode (remote and in office).
- Coordinate SAP service delivery to ensure stability, continuity as per agreed SLA.
- Liaise with IT colleagues, business stakeholders, and external suppliers.
- Manage and monitor SAP-related contracts, including performance and service compliance.
Admission Criteria
The following constitute eligibility and essential criteria for the role and for being admitted to the selection process. Candidates not fulfilling these criteria by the deadline for applications, will be excluded from the selection:
- Have a thorough knowledge of one of the languages of the European Union (at least level C1) and a satisfactory knowledge of another language of the EU to the extent necessary for the performance of the duties (at least level B2). One of the required languages shall be English*.
- Be a national of a Member State of the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland
- Completed university studies of at least three (3) years attested by a diploma in relevant subjects in scope of the profile.
- After obtaining the university degree, at least two (2) years of professional experience working in a technical role, preferably in one of the following SAP Lines of Business; Finance, Sales or Human Resources.
The following constitute advantageous criteria for the role. Candidates not fulfilling these criteria will not be excluded from the selection process:
- Knowledge of any of:
- S/4HANA
- Integration with 3rd party systems (PO or BTP)
- Reporting (BW/BO or Datasphere/SAC )
- Concur
- SuccessFactors
- Signavio
- Joule (SAP AI engine)
- Experience of managing licences and subscriptions for SAP Products
- Experience working with Agile methodology
- Open to adopting new technologies and ways or working, e.g. AI
- ITIL qualification
- Experience in managing hybrid and remote teams
- Achievements related to process simplification / automation
* English oral and written skills will be assessed throughout the assessment phase.
Further language assessment may be organised, where necessary, to verify compliance with the requirement to demonstrate knowledge of two EU languages.
** This vacancy is open as well to Temporary Agents (2f) employed at EASA, in the grade bracket AD 5 - AD 9.

Prior to recruitment, you will be requested to demonstrate that you:

- Are physically fit to perform the duties linked to the post (you will be asked to undergo a medical examination in a centre indicated by EASA).
Conditions of Employment
Contract: 5 years contract as Temporary Agent 2 (f) with possibility of extension
Working hours: 40 hrs per week (on a full-time working pattern). Flexible working arrangements
Salary: Step in grade upon recruitment based on years of work experience. Additional allowances depending on personal situation
Location: Cologne, Germany (relocation is required)
